Misano - Ready to go in hot weather

The weather is hot and humid and set to be that way for the weekend. We started on track today (Friday) at the Misano WSBK round with free practice this morning. The bikes ran well and Dan and Gino settled back into the Misano circuit following testing here recently. Dan used the session to confirm suspension settings whilst Gino minimised his time on track to preserve the tyres for first qualifying this afternoon. We have three sets of tyres in our allocation from SBK for the weekend and with the weather set good, we will use the tyres from practice this morning for the qualifying this afternoon. That will leave a new set for final qualifying tomorrow and the final set for the race. First qualifying is at 4.30 CET this afternoon.

The great race at the new Portimao circuit brings an end to our season in World Superbike Superstock 600, with riders Gino Rea and Dan Linfoot.
The season has been a success with Gino third and Dan fifth in the championship standings following three victories and five additional podiums in total. The results have also acted as a stepping stone to the riders for next season, with both securing high profile, career progressing rides for 2009.
