BSB Rd 1 Brands Hatch Supersport Cup Friday
04-04-2008
In day 1 of the BSB Brands Hatch round Pat McDougall had two free practice sessions before qualifying tomorrow and racing on Sunday. Pat posted the 2nd fastest time in the Supersport Cup competition which is a great start to our campaign and is a good step on the development of our new Supersport bike. The team decided to run two full race length (18 lap) sessions to look at tyre wear and Pat's time in the second session was 1.5 seconds faster than the first. We are looking forward to building further on this good result as we go into tomorrow. The first photos from Brands Hatch will be posted tomorrow evening. WSB Rd 1 Valencia Superstock 600 Friday
04-04-2008
Day 1 of the WSB Valencia round resulted in Dan Linfoot qualifying 7th and Gino Rea 10th in the first of the two qualifying sessions before the race tomorrow. Tomorrow has the second qualifying session followed by the race and the results today give us a good base on which to build. In this morning's free practice we used the opportunity to fix a throttle issue on Dan's bike and to finalise the electronics settings for Gino before the qualifying this afternoon. For the qualifying we decided to use the same tyres as free practice. With only three sets of tyres allowed for the weekend this will give us new tyres for final qualifying tomorrow and also for the race. The qualifying itself was without major incident and both riders were able to settle in and post good times that we will aim to better in the morning. Pictures from today are posted in the gallery and full results are at the WSB website at http://www.worldsbk.com/pubb_EN/result.php
Beowulf Racing LIVE on TV and the Internet
30-03-2008
Don't worry if you can't get to the track this coming weekend for the start of Beowulf Racing's 2008 season. Armed with the modern-day miracles of Digital TV and the Internet you can still see Gino Rea, Dan Linfoot and Pat McDougall live in action as the races take place.
This year, World Superbike organisers FG Sport are web-hosting all of their races live from their website and archiving them afterwards. Last year, this was run on a pay-per-view basis and provided you had a reasonably fast web connection the coverage was pretty good overall.
The Superstock 600 race is set to take place at 4.40pm on Saturday 5th April UK-time, and the link you need to log onto is:
http://www.worldsbk.com/pubb_EN/sbkTV.php
Additionally, FG Sport have now set up their own YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/sbk) and appear to be releasing race highlights for syndication, so there's a very good chance that we'll be able to host some kind of coverage on www.beowulf-racing.com a few days after the races are run.
Turning to the British Supersport Cup, the broadcasting rights to this series have transferred this year from ITV to British Eurosport 2. A four-hour broadcast is scheduled to start on Sunday 6th April at 1.15pm with the Supersport race beginning at 3.30pm. Channel 4 are also due to run a general British Superbike highlights programme on the Tuesday evening after the races, but it is not clear at present if this will also include coverage of the Supersport Cup.
British Eurosport are also set to web-host the races, but so far we have had problems accessing this service. If you're tempted to use this option, go to http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/ and select the "live streaming" link in the red bar.
If you are planning to watch the races via the web-hosting route, we strongly advise visiting the sites in advance to ensure your PC is correctly configured to receive the broadcasts.
And of course there'll be full coverage of both events on www.beowulf-racing.com with a comprehensive array of reports, photos and features posted across the weekend as the action happens - stay tuned!

The great race at the new Portimao circuit brings an end to our season in World Superbike Superstock 600, with riders Gino Rea and Dan Linfoot.
The season has been a success with Gino third and Dan fifth in the championship standings following three victories and five additional podiums in total. The results have also acted as a stepping stone to the riders for next season, with both securing high profile, career progressing rides for 2009.
Thank you for all of the emails, calls, texts and visits throughout the year. It has been much appreciated.
