Dan Linfoot is 1st and Gino Rea is 4th following the first of two sessions of qualifying for Sunday's race. The track was dry and with a restriction on the number of tyres we can use, both riders decided to start on used tyres before a red flag half way through the session gave the opportunity to put new tyres on. At the restart Dan and Gino delivered their fastest times on their first flying laps leaving Dan in 1st position and Gino in 2nd. The final 10 minutes of the session saw Baz the impressive 15 year old factory Yamaha rider, gain 3rd and fellow Britain Sam Lowes gain an excellent 2nd leaving team Beowulf Racing in a good position with 1st and 4th.
Tomorrow sees the second session of qualifying with most teams having used their allocation of qualifying tyres already. This could leave today's times as the quickest, we will see. Of course another possibility is rain tomorrow which would help to develop a wet set up for the bikes.

Oulton Park FREE ticket offer now open

More racing means more ticket offers from the Beowulf team. This time it's for the next round of the British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park between May 3rd-5th 2008.
To enter, simply select the "Contact" option along the above menu bar of this website and enter your name and email details along with "Oulton Park BSB Pass Offer" in the comments section. This last point is VERY IMPORTANT - without it we won't know if you want to enter this particular draw or are simply registering with the website.
The draw will close at midnight, Saturday 26th April. All the entries will go into the hat and a name will be selected at random for the passes. Everyone will be notified if they have won or not and the winner will be asked to provide contact details so we can get the passes to him or her.
Please note - anyone who has already registered with the site and wishes to enter this draw must still send a message, your name will NOT be added to this draw automatically.
All applicants will be added to the Beowulf Racing email list and will receive regular notices and bulletins relating to the team's progress. Please inform us when you enter the draw if you do not wish to receive these updates.

The great race at the new Portimao circuit brings an end to our season in World Superbike Superstock 600, with riders Gino Rea and Dan Linfoot.
The season has been a success with Gino third and Dan fifth in the championship standings following three victories and five additional podiums in total. The results have also acted as a stepping stone to the riders for next season, with both securing high profile, career progressing rides for 2009.
Thank you for all of the emails, calls, texts and visits throughout the year. It has been much appreciated.
